For our Free Appointment, you’re welcome to bring up to 3 guests. For our Boutique Bridal Experience, you may bring up to 5 guests to share in the celebration. 

Our Free Appointment has no charge. The Boutique Bridal Experience is $75 on weekdays and $125 on weekends (this is a 2 hour appointment) — redeemable toward your gown purchase. 

Fittings and alterations are a separate service. Once you’ve chosen your gown, we’ll guide you through the alteration process to ensure the perfect fit. 

We ask that no photos or videos of gowns or tags be taken until you’ve found the one and said “Yes to the Dress.” This keeps the experience special and distraction-free. Once you’ve chosen your gown, we’ll happily celebrate with photos to capture your big moment! 

No — we don’t allow appointments for sizing only. Our gowns are exclusive designer pieces, and appointments are reserved for brides who are seriously shopping for their wedding gown. If you’re ready to find your gown, your stylist will guide you with professional sizing and fit advice during your appointment.

Yes, we do! Many of our gowns are available to order in sizes 0–32. While we can’t carry every size in every design, we keep a lovely range of sample gowns in different sizes for brides to try. It’s important to know that sample gowns may not be your exact size — for example, a gown may be a size 8 sample while you might wear a size 12. This is completely normal in bridal shopping. Your stylist will use clips and tricks to help you see how the gown will look in your correct size, and we’ll guide you through the ordering process so your gown fits beautifully when it arrives. Please also note that + sizes over a size 16 will incur an additional fee.

Because most weddings in Cairns are warm-weather celebrations, we don’t usually stock gowns with full sleeves. Instead, many of our designers offer detachable sleeves, straps, or jackets that can give you the look of coverage without the heat. We do carry some of these options in-store, and your stylist can show you how they work with different gowns to achieve the style you’re after. 

At Lovena Bridal, some gowns are available to purchase directly off the rack, while others are samples that we order in for you. During your appointment, your stylist will take your measurements and recommend the best size to order. Please note that most designer gowns are made in standard sizing, not custom to your exact body measurements — alterations are always needed to achieve the perfect fit. 

If you’d like a gown to be made to measure (custom size), this is possible with some designers, but it does incur an additional charge as set by the supplier. Delivery timeframes vary depending on the designer and location, but gowns typically take 7–16 weeks to arrive. Some suppliers do offer a rush order but this will also depend on the suppliers policy, this does incur an additional fee. 

We recommend wearing nude or light-colored undergarments, a strapless bra if you have one, and minimal makeup to keep gowns in pristine condition. Most importantly, bring an open mind and your closest cheerleaders!
